There are four components: listening, reading, speaking, and writing
Each component is timed
The exam lasts a total of 107 minutes

25 multiple-choice question
Part 1 – Short monologues and conversations of two to three sentences accompanied by eight multiple-choice questions
Part 2 – One two to three-minute high-beginner to intermediate-level short conversation accompanied by nine multiple-choice questions
Part 3 – One four-minute speech accompanied by eight multiple-choice questions
40 minutes
25 multiple-choice questions
Part 1 – One short advertisement, post, or written communication accompanied by eight multiple-choice questions
Part 2 – One intermediate-level text accompanied by nine multiple-choice questions
Part 3 – One upper-level text words accompanied by eight multiple-choice questions

Part 1 – The candidate writes one short note, letter or paragraph of 50 to 75 words on a given topic.
Part 2 – The candidate writes a response expressing and supporting an opinion of 175-225 words on a given topic.

2 questions
Part 1 – The candidate records up to a minute and a half response to a short question.
Part 2 – The candidate records up to two minute and a half responses expressing their thoughts about an upper-level statement.
